manifesto

This is my first real post. As with any new beginning, I’m inclined to launch this blog with a mix of naive intention and bold idealism.

I feel like I should set out what I’d like to do here in and make my purpose explicit. I’ll be posting about design and technology, trends and the future, and probably other things I find interesting around the internet.

I became interested in design because it seemed like a good way to express a perspective and affect behavior on a massive scale. Design of all types, but especially industrial design, has a amazing influence on behavior. I’m interested in the ways that design can create social change, which in my mind includes social equity, environmental responsibility, and an eye to a bright green future.

I know there are others out there who share some of the same ideas about design, so this blog is a way to reach out and connect those loose ends, as well as define and develop my own perspective.
